Instead of searching for one perfect month, write down your top three priorities: weather, events, lower prices, nightlife, diving or quiet. That simple ranking usually makes the best dates much clearer.
For the driest-feeling trip
Official destination guidance describes February through June as the driest period. That does not mean every day is identical, but it can be a useful window for beach-heavy plans, hiking and outdoor sightseeing.
The trade wind can make hot days feel comfortable, yet strong sun still matters. Plan active mornings, carry water and use shade even when the breeze hides how warm it is.
For festivals and island energy
Carnival season in February and March is one of the island's most energetic periods. December and early January also bring celebrations and traditions, while the annual events calendar adds music, food, art and community gatherings throughout the year.
Event dates can change. If one celebration is the reason for your trip, check the official event page before buying a non-refundable flight or stay near the route you want to visit.
For a quieter or better-value visit
Flexible travelers should compare the same hotel and flight across several weeks. A quieter period can mean more choice at restaurants and beaches, but demand depends on Dutch, regional and international holidays—not only local weather.
Look at the total trip price. A cheap room with an expensive flight may cost more than a package, while a slightly higher room rate in a walkable area could reduce transport costs.
