Land and settle in
Keep your first day light. Check in, pick up what you need, take a first sunset walk and let your body catch up before a simple dinner.
Walk Punda and Otrobanda
Start around Handelskade and cross the Queen Emma Bridge. Leave time for Punda’s pedestrian streets, murals, cafés and markets. On Thursday evening, official destination guidance highlights Punda Vibes with music, art and entertainment.
West-coast beach day
Choose two rather than racing through five. Grote Knip pairs well with a smaller nearby cove; Cas Abao or Porto Marie can easily fill the other half of your day.
Nature and an early night
Make this your flexible outdoor day. If you choose a hike or another active excursion, follow the operator’s current timing and safety advice, then keep the evening easy.
Klein Curaçao
Reserve a full day for the boat ride, long beach, snorkeling and lighthouse. Tour schedules and inclusions vary, so confirm departure time, food, shade and transfer details in advance.
Food and culture day
Try lunch at Plasa Bieu, explore a museum or gallery, and sample local dishes instead of treating food as an afterthought.
Repeat your favorite feeling
Do not save your last day only for errands. Return to the water, neighborhood or meal that made you happiest, then leave enough time for a calm departure.

Three details to know
Money
The Caribbean guilder replaced the former Netherlands-Antillean guilder on 31 March 2025. The official tourism site says it is pegged to the U.S. dollar at USD 1 = Cg 1.79, while commercial transactions use Cg 1.82. Confirm payment and exchange details with your bank before travel.
Language
Papiamentu is the native language. Dutch, Papiamentu and English are official languages, and many people can also help in Spanish. A simple “bon dia” in the morning is an easy, respectful start.
