OnlyCuraçao guides are designed to help you make better decisions before the trip and calmer decisions while you are on the island. Use this guide as a practical starting point, then verify anything time-sensitive directly with the relevant business or authority.

01Bring sun protection and a refillable bottle
02Use secure footwear for nature days
03Carry medicine in your hand luggage
04Pack one light layer for air conditioning

Your everyday island clothes

Choose light, breathable pieces that can repeat and dry easily. Add a hat, sunglasses and clothing that covers shoulders when you need a break from direct sun.

A light layer can help on the aircraft and in strongly air-conditioned interiors. Bring one outfit that fits any restaurant or special evening you already booked.

For beaches and boats

Pack swimwear, a quick-dry towel if your accommodation does not provide one, and a reusable water bottle. A dry bag or simple waterproof pouch can protect the essentials on boat and beach days.

Ask your operator what equipment is included before packing bulky snorkel gear. Water shoes can be useful for some entries but do not replace attention to rocks, waves and instructions.

For walking and nature

Use shoes with grip for trails and rugged coastal areas. Keep an offline map, charged phone and more water than a short distance might suggest.

For an early hike, prepare the bag the night before. Confirm park rules, opening times and current safety guidance rather than relying on an old social-media post.

Keep the important items close

Travel documents, essential medicine, one change of clothes and valuables belong in hand luggage. Follow airline rules for liquids, batteries and medical items.

  • Passport and required travel confirmations
  • Prescription medicine in original packaging
  • Travel insurance details
  • Charging cable and suitable plug arrangement
  • Copies or secure digital backups of key documents

Pack around your real itinerary. A city-and-beach week needs different footwear from a trip built around hiking and diving.
