OnlyCuraçao guides are designed to help you make better decisions before the trip and calmer decisions while you are on the island. Use this guide as a practical starting point, then verify anything time-sensitive directly with the relevant business or authority.
Day one: understand Willemstad
Begin around Punda, Handelskade and the Queen Emma Bridge, then cross toward Otrobanda. Walk slowly enough to notice the difference between the districts, the murals, smaller streets and views back across the water.
Choose a local lunch instead of filling the day with attractions. In the evening, pick one area for dinner and sunset rather than crossing the island again.
Day two: the west-coast water
Choose two beaches with different moods. Pair a dramatic viewpoint such as Grote Knip with a beach where you can settle in for lunch and a longer swim, such as Cas Abao or Porto Marie.
Starting early gives you cooler air and more flexibility. Carry water, sun protection and only the valuables you need. Do not try to collect every cove in one day.
Day three: choose one bigger experience
Pick the side of Curaçao you still want to feel. A boat day to Klein Curaçao delivers a full escape; Christoffelpark or Shete Boka shows the island's rugged nature; a guided culture or food experience can deepen what you noticed on day one.
Match the choice to your departure time. A full-day excursion does not belong on a day when you need to return a car, collect luggage and reach the airport.
What to reserve
Reserve only the elements that can sell out or control the whole day. Keep meals and smaller stops flexible so weather, energy and local advice can improve the plan.
- Airport transport or rental car
- Your one must-do tour
- Accommodation check-in details
- Any special dinner you would regret missing
If you have only two full days, keep Willemstad and the west coast. Add the third big experience only when your flight times genuinely allow it.
