OnlyCuraçao guides are designed to help you make better decisions before the trip and calmer decisions while you are on the island. Use this guide as a practical starting point, then verify anything time-sensitive directly with the relevant business or authority.

01Compare flight-only and package totals
02Choose accommodation with useful facilities
03Mix free and paid beach days
04Budget for transport before booking the stay

Price the complete trip first

Compare the flight, luggage, seat, accommodation, airport transfer and local transport as one total. A low room price far from everything may create a full week of transport costs, while a package may or may not beat separate bookings.

Use the same dates and the same inclusions for every comparison. A result without checked baggage should not be compared directly with one that includes it.

Let the accommodation save money twice

A refrigerator, kitchen corner, free parking or breakfast can reduce more than one daily expense. Location also matters: being close to the activities you actually want can save fuel, taxi fares and time.

Read the final price for cleaning, service and taxes before paying. Ask what is included instead of assuming every property provides beach towels, parking or airport transport.

Mix your beach days

Curaçao offers beach experiences with different entrance, chair and facility arrangements. Alternate a simple cove day with the beach-club day you really want, and bring water and snacks where permitted.

Do not save money by ignoring safety or environmental rules. Pay attention to posted conditions, protect your belongings and never damage coral.

Create a daily spending rhythm

Choose one main paid moment per day: a tour, restaurant, beach setup or museum. Build the rest around walking, swimming, viewpoints and casual local food.

  • Breakfast from your kitchen or a local bakery
  • One planned lunch or dinner
  • Refillable water bottle
  • Offline map to avoid wrong turns
  • Small emergency amount outside the daily budget

Never judge a deal by the first number. Add the things you will actually use, then compare the final total per traveler.
